| Behind the Scenes Feature Walls To start, we know that the feature wall below looks way too large to fit down your basement steps to complete your home theater. Continue reading to see how we fit it. This feature wall was carved from a soft substrate. The mold taken from the soft substrate measured 6 inches in depth. The mold is poured with an extremely dense production foam. The end product is painted with 3 layers of hydrastone to make it tough and rigid, and then painted and stained.
Oh, as promised, with this particualar feature wall, we break it to fit as if cracked by the stresses of the earth and time, or an earthquake.. The feature wall in these photos was created and cut into 5 distinct sections that could be easily moulded, handled, and shipped.

The materials that we use in
production are not necessarily the easiest to carve by hand. Clay is
our medium of choice for carving. The clay (sometimes carved in pieces)
are reliefed into a fiberglass form from which we create our final
product made of plastic resin, production foam (to be coated in
hydrastone), or other permanent product depening on the application.
Our final pieces are painted, stained, and readied for its placement in
the themed environment. Rock Mouldings As personalized as our services are, we do
sometimes cheat a little. Using hand carved molds made specifically for
our customer requirements, we may create a multiple of stone or other
moulding objects. Walled Rocks Rocks are
hand crafted directly on the wall and made of a unique Hydrastone
mixture, then hand painted using up to seven different colors of paints
and stains for a truly authentic look and feel. Built in place wall units Many
of our clients require large scale production on site because of door
size, and room accessability. Found Objects The
