The love for Christmas has filled Mark’s life. Sculptor Mark Klaus is in his 14th year on TV and is thrilled to be on QVC. Klaus grew up in Seven Hills, Ohio and has always loved Christmas. “Christmas was such an enjoyable part of our family life —with a last name like Klaus it was the most important time of year and very exciting. My mother and father turned our home into a Christmas Wonderland. Every inch of our home was decorated and lit. Making our home the place everyone wanted to visit to get the Christmas spirit. It was a joy to watch peoples eyes as they walked into our home. It really was a gift for everyone that visited.” Mark Klaus is more than a talented artist, he is the embodiment of childhood dreams and wonder. His gifts as a storyteller and sculptor enchant you into believing all over again. Each handcrafted piece of art created by Mark is sculpted with a story behind it. It’s Mark’s desire that through his artwork one feels the sense of peace, hope and love through faith.

Klaus started his professional career with Goebel and had great success. Mark joined TV to sell his elegant sculptures at an affordable price. “The idea of being able to have incredible artwork at a family price is very important to me.”

Mark is well known by his collectors for the intricate miniature details included in his sculptors. What most people are amazed to find out is Mark sculpts all his pieces at original size. From the tiny faces of Mary and Joseph that would each fit on the head of a pin. To the elegance of three kings riding on camels, 1/2” tall. Over one month is spent to create the original sculptors for each one of his truly unique pieces of art. Mark’s love for Christmas is not limited to his art pieces. He also loves to share his joy for the season through his one man theatrical show. A monologue celebrating family and memories of Christmas past. A mix of comedy and gentle sentiments written to fill his audience with the Christmas spirit. Mark took his stories and characters from his one man theatrical show to radio doing his “Live from the North Pole” Christmas specials that are heard annually. Mark has a great love for the arts. He was thrilled to watch his daughter, Natalie, perform as one of the mice in the Cleveland-San Jose Ballet annual performances of the “Nutcracker”. Natalie was a mouse for three years from the time she was seven until she was ten. These performances of the Nutcracker were beautiful and inspiring. Mark was surprised to find out that ballets across the country struggle to find an audience for this classic form of entertainment.

Always wanting to help, Mark donated seven months of his time to sculpt, mold and cast two sets of 16’ tall figures of the mouse king fighting the nutcracker. to help promote the ballet throughout the city. Mark has been featured on the cover of both “Collectors Edition” and “Collectors Mart” magazines. He walked with the stars in Hollywood while decorating the trees of soap stars in “Soap Opera Digest Magazine”. And his family was featured in “First Magazine”. Mark understands his collectors because he is an avid collector himself. When I was little boy I collected Wacky packages, then smurfs. As an adult Mark found a passion for antique carnival rides and filled a huge building with them. Now Mark has found his favorite collection. For the last several years, Mark has been collecting authentic props and costumes from famous Christmas movies. Mark and his wife, Dana, are currently working on a dream project using these props and costumes.
